The very idea of elaborating a new album came to us at the end of a remembeable concert in Tel-Aviv in november 2000, organized by the israelian saxophonist Gan Lev, for the fourth anniversary of the murder of Itzak Rabin. On September 11th 2002, we started recording at the conservatory in Boulogne-Billancourt !

In between, we came back in Israel in the middle of the Gaza bombing, went through Spain (Sevilla, Madrid, Toledo) during the threat of a mediatic conflict between Spain and Marrocco for the possession of the famous rock of Gibraltar... On March 19th 2003, "my mind in Irak", I was writing the end of this introduction...

Choosing the word "Peace" (Salam / Shalom = Salom) came easily to the mind of the Quatuor musicians, in order to illustrate our personnal political implication in this unusual artistic adventure.

We hope that each listener, by the musical density and the various styles, like the frenetic spirit of Apollinaire, will able to find his serene listening happiness, and the warmness of our commitment.
